Dr. Kati Tilley, PhD is an experienced mixed methods researcher with a history of working in the research industry in Delaware for more than 10 years. Kati earned her doctorate in Education specializing in Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics from the University of Delaware in August 2022. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Spanish minor from the University of Delaware. She has worked as a grant-funded research assistant in the Psychological and Brain Sciences department at UD, as a research associate in the Center for Training, Evaluation, and Community Collaboration (CTECC) conducting a mixed methods evaluation study, as a research associate at the Center for Research in Education and Social Policy (CRESP). In these roles, Kati has gained knowledge and skills in areas such as survey development, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, participant recruitment and relationship building, project management, research-practice partnerships, writing for academic and non-academic audiences, and presenting research findings to various audiences.
Dr. Tilley is passionate about using her research skills to understand and address pressing social issues. She has particular interest in improving education, health, and life outcomes for all Delaware residents; especially for residents from traditionally underserved groups. As the Director of Research & Evaluation at Golden Thread Human Services, Kati ensures that the organization invests in relevant issues, and does so using evidence-based practices and approaches. Additionally, she conducts ongoing evaluations of Golden Thread’s processes and community impact, ensuring that initiatives are built to support evaluation from the outset, and that outcomes are scientifically measured.
